Kenneth Marvin Boardman, 90, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:19 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018, at Majestic Health Care. Born October 29, 1928, in Dupont, Mr. Boardman was the son of Henry and Tura (Cave) Boardman. He married Catherine Driver on November 14, 1990, in Vernon; she survives.

Mr. Boardman attended school in Dupont and Paris Crossing before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1946 until 1948. He worked for 30 years as a pipefitter for Jefferson Proving Grounds, retiring in 1975. Mr. Boardman was a member of the American Legion Post in Madison.

Surviving with his wife, Catherine are sons, Randy Lee (Janet) Boardman of North Vernon and Eric Boardman of Florida; daughter, Tracy Lee Boardman of North Carolina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Cecil, Ralph, Lester and Donald Boardman. A funeral service for Mr. Boardman will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev.

Don Morris officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon with military graveside rites by members of the Madison American Legion Post.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Our Hospice of Jennings County.
