Obituary for Kenneth Wayne “Big Daddy” Watson Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne “Big Daddy” Watson, 71, of Rusk, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brad Turlington and Bro. Carl Goff officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Maydelle, Texas. Mr. Watson passed away November 21, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. He was born March 20, 1947 in Rusk, Texas to the late Wayne Thomas and Marcella Mae (McCreight) Watson.

He was a member and Deacon of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, and could be considered a life long Baptist. He loved spending time with his family and friends as well as riding his motorcycle. He especially enjoyed sharing the word of His Lord.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, L.E. Watson, Riley Leon Watson, sister, Edith Troy Watson, sister-in-law, Alice Watson, daughter-in-law, Vickie Goff, and nephew, Timmy Watson. He is survived by wife of 49 years, Joyce Watson of Rusk, children, Shannon and his wife Jodi Watson of Rusk, Jennifer and her husband Brad Turlington of Rusk, Richard and his wife Anna Goff of LaMadeleine, Sardinia, Robert Goff of Tyler, Charlotte Goff of Rusk, grandchildren, Keaton Oliver, Kalden Turlington, Hayden Jones, McKenzie Jones, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be John Stafford, Cord Stover, Cole Hollis, Scott Watson, Justin Kyle Watson, Adam Watson, Tommy Watson, and Phillip Watson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Don Berry, Charles Ray McCreight, Keaton Oliver, Kalden Turlington, Hayden Jones, Camden Hollis, Brayden Walley, Colt Dement, Tony Gee, Allen Dotson, Johnny Watson, Stan Watson, Riley Threadgill and Jimmy Watson. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the new building fund for Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 8, Rusk, TX, 75785.
