Obituary for Kenneth Wayne Frantz Kenneth Wayne Frantz, 71, of Owensboro, passed away August 29, 2018, at his home. He was born in Daviess County on February 27, 1947 to the late John Daniel Frantz and Sophie Brooks Frantz. Kenneth was retired from the Boilermaker’s Union 40 where he worked as a boilermaker for 35 years.

He was a member of Boilermakers Union 40 and the Fraternal Order Eagles 2414. Kenneth was an avid Kentucky Wesleyan College basketball fan. Also, He enjoyed horse racing, bike riding beach vacations, and billiards.

Kenneth especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sports activities, and the French Island Marina Boat Club. He was a loving father to two boys who played both roles of a mother and father. Kenneth is survived by his children, David Wayne (Lisa) Frantz and John Michael (Courtney) Frantz, of Owensboro, grandchildren: Ashton Frantz, Cameron Frantz, Alexie Frantz, Maci Frantz; his sisters: Sharon Pettis, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Deborah Ann Redenius, of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews, and special friends Tom and Kathy Hayden and cousins Lonnie and Anna Brooks, and niece Tonya Frantz.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018, and again from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Boilermaker Rites will by 6:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Kentucky Wesleyan College Athletic Department; 3000 Frederica Street; Owensboro, Kentucky 42301.
