Barbara Septer Arflack, 87, of Owensboro, died on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 16, 1931, her life was full of love, family and friends. She worked for 30 years at Bell South and after retirement stayed busy with family, especially with her grandkids, and friends.

She most cherished the time she spent with her family and could always be counted on to be the first to offer a helping hand. She was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church and was very fond of her Lamplighter Sunday School class. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Jacob Septer; brothers, Robert Septer, Donald Septer and David Septer; sisters, Becky Mason, Frances Craig and Doris Goad.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Tanner of Owensboro, Terri Bolin (Kevin) of Owensboro and Pamela Archambeau of Owensboro; as well as grandchildren, Grant Nicholson-Sauls (Lyra) of Owensboro, Courtney Voyles (Jordan) of Owensboro, Allison Bolin of Owensboro, Alyx Adkins of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Jesse Adkins of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her brother, Thomas Septer (Joyce); sisters, Marie Fortenbach and Mabel Crowder; along with many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery on Old Hartford Road, Owensboro.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take to form of donations to donor’s favorite charity.
