Mary Ellen Finley, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. She was born September 27, 1930 to the late Armal and Mamie Travis Gray. Mary was employed at Mercy Hospital in housekeeping and was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church.

She loved being with family, going out to eat and going to garage sales. She also loved getting her hair and nails done. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Finley on June 10, 1991; her son, Roger Dale Finley; her grandson, Tipton Lawson; two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her children, Linda Boone (Jackie) of Pleasant Ridge, Larry Roger Finley (Linda), Danny Ray Finley (Patty), Steve Ivan Finley (Debbie), Tony Finley (Lara), Patty Kaye Finley and Eddie Wayne Finley, all of Owensboro; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Crowe of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at noon on Monday, December 17, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Clear Run Cemetery in Ohio County, KY.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
