Obituary for Betty E. Dickinson Betty E. Dickinson, 76, of Owensville, IN passed away December 7, 2018 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN. She was born in Springfield, IL on July 25, 1942 to the late Robert and Floriene (Bickes) Dickinson. Betty retired from St. Mary’s Ascension Health as a Medical Office Manager.
She was a member of First General Baptist Church and Nola Harmeyer Missionary Society. Betty also served as Sunday school teacher, Youth Director, Puppet Ministry Director, recording secretary and treasurer of Owensville Cemetery Board, Secretary for Child Evangelism Fellowship Board, Leader of Good News Club in Owensville and Princeton Community Schools, Leader of 5 Day club, and was a “mother” to all above. Betty is survived by her sister Paula Dickinson; brother-in-law Chester Braselton; nieces Lori (Patrick) DeHut and Gayla (Jim) Wagner; great nephews and nieces Alex (Sara) Barnett, Margaret (Ronald) Currington, Maddie (Matt) Johnson, Taija Tepool, Elise Tepool, Giobniu Birge; and 8 great-great nieces and nephew.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Floriene Dickinson and sister Roselyn Braselton. Memorial contributions can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship of Evansville, 1900 E. Morgan Ave. Evansville, IN 47711.
Holder’s Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Miss Dickinson. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Holders Funeral Home from 4p-8p and Thursday from 12p-1p. Funeral will be Thursday at 1p with Pastor Bob Douglas, Bart Newton, and John Sloan officiating with interment at Owensville Cemetery.
