Shirley Coffman, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born August 26, 1938 in Enterprise, Illinois. She was a property manager for real estate rentals in Alaska and was a member of Good Shepherd Church.

She is preceded in death by her daughters, Rebecca Lynn Morrison on June 15, 2016 and Julie Vaughan on August 12, 2018. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, J.D. Coffman III; her mother, Viola Mitchell Lambrich; her children, Gary Mehrtens (Wanda) of Waterloo, Illinois, Lisa Tinsley (Kevin) of Fox Island, Washington, David Coffman of Lubbock, Texas and Bobby Coffman (Pam) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Lambrich (Doris), Larry Lambrich (Kitten) and Michael Mitchell (Donna), all of Owensboro; and two sisters, Kathy Burgess (Jeff) of Lexington and Connie Hahn (Allen), of Cambridge, Ohio.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Private burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee. Visitation is from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
