Bonnie Lou Horn, 77, of Owensboro, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whose lives were touched by their “Queen”. Bonnie was born on February 17, 1941 in Daviess County to the late William & Nina (O’Bryan) Ward.

She was a member of Saints Joseph & Paul Catholic Church and was retired from J.C. Penny Department Store. Bonnie was an avid reader. Her love for books was only surpassed by her love for her family and the love of her savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Pat Ward and Jimmy Ward. Survivors include her husband John W. Horn; a daughter, Yvonne Hatcher Condra (Wendell Hatcher); a son, John David Horn (Sherrie); grandchildren, Angel Powell (David), Zachary Hatcher (Jenni), Keisha Hatcher, Jason Buskill (Laura), Tyler Horn, and Bailey Roos (Jordan); nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Ward (Dawn) of Rome, Georgia; a sister, Linda Conner of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful life-long friends. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Saints Joseph & Paul Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with prayers at 7 p.m. Visitation Monday will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Saints Joseph & Paul Catholic Church.
