Kenneth Weldon Atkins, Sr. 88, Denton, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 8, 1930 in Osceola, Texas to the late Kirby Truelove Atkins and Lema Yarbro Atkins. Kenneth served as Post Master for Emory, Texas and retired in 1993.

Kenneth served our country in the United States Army in the Korean War and was able to reach Master SGT in under 4 years. He enjoyed playing solitaire and working jigsaw puzzles. He loved gospel music and enjoyed traveling with the Wills family across the United States.

Kenneth will be missed and continually loved. Services to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Ron Craddock Officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
