Kenyon Dale Nessel of Stratford, Oklahoma was born November 21, 1950 in Levelland, Texas to Norvin John and Jewel Faye (Green) Nessel. He passed away May 17, 2019 at his home near Stratford, at the age of 68 years 5 months and 26 days. He moved from Texas to Oklahoma in 1966.

He married Sherry Lyn Gantt on March 3, 1980 at Gaar Corner. He received his Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Theology. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist and was a member of New Beginnings Church.

Preceded by; his parents, son Kenyon Dale Nessel JR, and great-granddaughter Maiya Blackmon. Survived by; his wife Sherry Lyn Nessel of the home, three daughters; Candis Gunn & husband Robert of Shawnee, OK, Allison Hollis & husband Lance of Charleston, Indiana, and Kristin Roebuck & husband Archie of Tupelo, OK; 1 Son; Patrick Nessel of Charleston, Indiana. 10 grandchildren; Jason Keith Goodnight JR, and Isaac Goodnight, Christopher, Jesse and Hannah Hatton, Lashun Blackmon, Jonathan Hollis, Hailey, Ashley, and Gage Nessel.

6 great-grandchildren Emileah Goodnight, Ryan Hatton, Davion Johnson, Addisyn Taylor, and Malik and Myles Blackmon; 1 brother; Bob Nessel & wife Jan of Stratford, 1 sister Francess McCutchen & husband Jimmy of Leveland, Texas. Pallbearers; Patrick Nessel, Jason Goodnight JR, Isaac Goodnight, Jesse Hatton, Robert Gunn, and Archie Roebuck. Visitation; Friday evening May 24, 2019 at DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Services; 10:00 AM Saturday May 25, 2019 at New Beginnings Church. Officiating; Rev. Charles McGregor.
