Obituary for Kyle H. Wilkins Kyle H. Wilkins, 35, of Pine Bluffs died Jan. 7, 2019, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. He had been battling a rare cancer, which was diagnosed in 2014.

He was born Jan. 11, 1983, in Cheyenne to Tim and Colleen Wilkins. He recently worked for Allwayz Manufacturing in Pine Bluffs as a metal worker.

He was a member of Harvest Church in Billings, Montana, and Crossroads Community Church in Pine Bluffs, where he was also a deacon. Kyle grew up in Pine Bluffs and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School in 2001. He graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute in South Dakota in 2006.

After graduation, he worked as a network technician for Dubois Telephone Exchange in Dubois, Wyoming. In 2009 and 2010 he was a Sheriff’s Deputy at the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department, working with jail inmates. Between career interests, he worked as a commercial driver, Walmart associate, construction laborer and car salesman.

Over the course of his life, he also lived and worked in Cheyenne, Mitchell, South Dakota, Dubois, Gillette, Wyoming, Grenora, North Dakota, and Billings. Kyle’s interests included bass guitar, singing, classic trucks, reading, fishing, camping, brewing beer, flying and WWII history. He played bass on worship teams in Cheyenne and Billings and spent a summer traveling with Youth With A Mission, which culminated in Thailand.

He gathered many friends in every place he lived and cared deeply for the well-being of others. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Colleen Wilkins of Pine Bluffs; sister, Kiah (Danny) Staley and nieces, Rosemary and Eleanor Staley of Billings; grandfather, Donald L. Wilkins of Cheyenne, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by is grandparents, Cecil Myron Wester, Barbara Ellen Wester and Patricia Kathleen Wilkins. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Community Center in Pine Bluffs, with interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park at 3 p.m. in Cheyenne. Flowers may be sent to Schrader’s by Monday.

Donations may be sent to Kyle Wilkins Memorial Fund, 216 Road 161, Pine Bluffs, WY, 82082.
