OBITUARY L. Mae Fontenot May 3, 1930 – November 22, 2018 L. Mae Fontenot a native of Eunice, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Thursday November 22, 2018 at the age of 88. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Mae was a devout Catholic and a faithful servant to her church and community.

Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. Fontenot; parents, Willard and Martha Manuel; daughter, Cinda Fontenot Fusilier; grandsons, Simon Fusilier and Tyler Fontenot; brother Archie Manuel; sisters Jacqueline LaFleur and Diane Arnaud Fusilier. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah J. Skorupsky and her husband Bob, Roxanne Stears and her husband Jimmy; sons, Joel “Kim” Fontenot and his wife Nancy, Peter Fontenot and his wife Nancy; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of Fidelis and Lighthouse for their years of love and care.

Also, very special thanks to Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for their Outreach Ministries. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, La.

70815 on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 5pm – 7pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mae’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul.
