Mr. Lacy Locklear, Jr. (Bear) 68 departed this life November 10th 2018 at Southeastern Hospice House. He was born on Sept. 15th, 1950 in Robeson County to the late Lacy and Jessie Locklear and in 1981 he married the love of his life Agnes Bullard Locklear.

He is survived by his wife Agnes Bullard Locklear of Lumberton and two sons Jason and Jared Locklear, two grandchildren Jason Preston and Jared Allen Locklear, one brother Tony Locklear (best friend), and three sisters Patsy Ann Locklear, Sandra Akers, Linda Sampson and his extended family of nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son Andrian, his grandson Seth and his parents. After graduating from Magnolia High School in 1968, he was drafted to serve in the US Army.

He served from 1969-1974 in Korea and Vietnam and was honorably discharged as an E4. After serving his country, he returned home and attended Robeson Community College. He worked as a farmer and brick mason.

Bear loved his grandsons and enjoyed family trips to the mountains and beach. He was an avid fisherman and proficient poker player.
