Lana Cheri (Cantrell) Fender of Mason, Oh passed away Friday January 11, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on October 30, 1951 in Ashland, Kentucky. Lana was the daughter of the late Robert Emerson and Evelyn Lewis Cantrell of Ashland Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by husband John L Fender and great-grandson Kayden Owens. She is survived by sons Scott Fender (Rhonda), Shaun Owens (Christina), Shannon Owens, Rodney Hogsten and daughter Stephanie Hogsten. She was a loving grandmother to Megan Fender, Jacob Fender, Shaun Brett Owens, Quentin King, Chase Owens, Trevor Fender, Madison Owens, Jack Hogsten and Miley Bowlin.

Great Grandchildren include Mahaila Spicer, Jayden Owens and Taelynn Mae Payne. Lana attended Morehead State University and the University of Kentucky. She re-located to Mason in 1988 and made it her home.

Lana was an avid Mason Comet Football supporter and was active in Mason Touchdown Club for over 10 years. While Rodney and Stephanie were growing up, Lana opened her doors often and was “mom” to many, especially her “other boys”, Bo Bishop, Chad Campbell and Ron Vinson. She cherished time with her family and friends, which were many.

Lana was HR Manager for Affinitiv where she worked for the past 14 years. She loved her work there and was very dedicated, and it showed through the many friends that she considered her family. Funeral arrangements include visitation Tuesday, January 15th from 11 am to 1 pm followed by funeral services at 1pm with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
