Mike “Big Dog” Poynter, born February 3, 1951, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019. Loving husband of Jean Poynter (nee Nickol), cherished father of Michael James Poynter and Mark David Poynter, beloved son of the late Willie and Virginia Poynter, dear brother of Dorothy Rauen, Marlene Kay Meyer, Louis Gene (Bev) Poynter, Trish (Dan) Dinser, Paul Poynter, Joyce Poynter, the late Clarence David Poynter, and the late Donald Ray Poynter, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mike enjoyed his race horses, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

The family of Mike will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home – West Chester (8791 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. , Mason, Ohio 45069) on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM with the funeral service to follow beginning at 11:00 AM.
