Obituary Landry Joseph Hollern, age 2, of Grand Rapids, our precious angel and gift from God, unexpectedly entered heaven and into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 7, 2019. Landry will be deeply missed by his parents, Rick and Jenna (Ksiazkiewicz) Hollern; his older brother, Camden (4); grandparents, Tom Ksiazkiewicz and Kate Rambus, Pat and Shelly Hollern; great grandparents, Jane Francks, Isabel Hollern, and Ken and Mary Lou West; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Landry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Ksiazkiewicz, and by his great grandfather, Deacon Dale Hollern.

In his short two years, Landry shared with us his love for life by fulfilling the lives of his family and bringing joy to all those lives he touched. He loved dressing up with his big brother, his beloved puppy Winston and raiding the pantry for snacks. His smile, unforgettable laugh and joyfulness will always be remembered; our hearts will always miss him.

As a parting gift, Landry has helped extend the lives of others by bringing health and hope to them through his generous donation to Gift of Life. A Memorial Mass will be held “In Jesus’ house” (Landry’s phrase) at St. Paul the Apostle Parish (2750 Burton St. SE) on Saturday, March 16, 11:00 am with Rev. Peter O. Damian celebrating.

The family will receive visitors at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE) on Friday, March 15 from 5:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. If you wish to make an expression of sympathy, please consider making a memorial donation in Landry’s name to D.A. Blodgett – St John’s.
