Larry Benton, age 77, of Willacoochee, Georgia passed away on Monday June 18, 2018 at his residence following a extended illness. Mr. Benton was born on June 23, 1940 in Coffee County, GA the son of the late Ed Benton and Ruby Kirkland Benton. He was owner/operator of Benton’s Cabinet’s, was a veteran of the Georgia National Guard and was a member of Mora Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a member of the cemetery committee.

Survivors include two sons, Jesse Benton and wife Shelly of Willacoochee, GA and Larry Benton and wife Kim of Willacoochee, GA; six grandchildren, Jessica Benton, Ashlyn Benton, Rachel Farley, Zane Benton and Josh Farley all of Willacoochee, GA and James Farley and wife Anna of Ambrose, GA; three great grandchildren, Shyann Farley, Anniston Farley and Bryce Farley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 21, 2018 at 11:00am at Mora Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Harper officiating.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Benton will lie-in-state at the church from 10:30am until time of service. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening June 20, 2018 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Sims Funeral Home.
