Larry Calvin Bledsoe, age 72, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. A native of McDowell County, Larry was born on May 28, 1946 to the late John and Hortense Bradley Bledsoe. Larry was a proud United States Marine veteran, having served in the Vietnam War.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who was known for always thinking of others before himself. Larry enjoyed painting, fishing, gardening and woodworking and was also a certified gunsmith. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of twenty-three years, Rhonda Bledsoe; five children, Larry Calvin Bledsoe II, Jarrod Mace (Amanda), Becky Buchanan, Lavonda Woodell (Clayton) and Megan Mace.

Also surviving Larry are five sisters, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In keeping with Larry’s wishes, no services are planned at this time.
