Larry’s Obituary Larry VanWesten age 65 of Spencer, IA died Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Spencer, IA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, starting at 5:00 P.M., with family present from 5-8:00 P.M. at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer. A second visitation will take place on Thursday, February 14, starting at 5:00 P.M., with family present from 5-8:00 P.M. at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley.

Interment will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Larry’s name. Larry Craig VanWesten, the son of Lawrence and Harmina (Risius) VanWesten was born April 25, 1953 in Sibley, IA.

His childhood years were spent in the Sibley area, where he attended school and graduated from Sibley High School. Larry has worked for Auto Glass his entire life, starting in Sibley, and then transferring to Auto Glass in Spencer until his retirement in 2015. He married Donna Janssen on October 27, 1979 in Sibley.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and camping. Larry passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Spencer Hospital at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Christen VanWesten.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Donna of Spencer, IA; 2 sisters, Karen and Connie VanWesten, both of Sibley, IA; 2 brothers, Greg VanWesten of Sibley, IA and Jeff (Renee) VanWesten of Royal, IA; 2 nephews, Ryan VanWesten of Royal, IA and Cavell (Emily) VanWesten and their 3 children of Sibley, IA; one niece, Keira (Scott) McCord of Norfolk, NE; other relatives; and many friends.
