Bruns, 77, of Whiting, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his home. He was born October 25, 1941 at Holton. His parents were William and Eva Williams Bruns.

He graduated from Whiting High School and had served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Larry was a farmer and a stockman. He married Marjorie “Pat” Zirger on September 27, 1967 at Holton.

She preceded him in death on September 23, 2014. Larry was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Bruns. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy McNeely (Don), Topeka; two sons, Kevin Robbins, Holton and Tracy Robbins (Terri), Circleville; a brother, Dick Bruns (Darlene), Holton, seven grandchildren, Cody Robbins, Kasie VanDonge (Adam), Jordan Robbins (Dylan), Sarah Robbins, Brittany Robbins, Kelcie Strecker (Trey) and Ryan McNeely and two great grandchildren Kynslee Strecker and Copelan Robbins.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1st at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Private inurnment will be later in the Holton Cemetery. Larry will lie in state after noon on Thursday at the funeral home.
