Larry’s Obituary Larry Douglas Snider joined his Savior in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday January 25th, 2019 at the age of 75. He was born in Calera, Oklahoma on November 26th, 1943 to Herman Douglas (H.D.) Snider and Eva (Guess) Snider. Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Sunday January 27th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.

A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 PM Monday January 28th at the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Darel Bunch officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma with Michael Kane, Danny Wright, David Jones, Trey Wright, Kasen Kane, and Ryder Jones as his pallbearers.

Larry married June Perkins in Durant, Oklahoma on November 20, 1964. He dedicated his life to education, earning 2 master’s degrees, and working as teacher (retired), coach, superintendent, and realtor. Larry loved nature and being outside: camping, hunting and fishing.

He loved to watch his grandchildren play ball, and he enjoyed a good game of dominoes. Mr. Snider is survived by his cherished wife, June of the home: children, Kelly Kane and husband Michael of Van Alstyne, Texas, Lorrie Wright and husband Danny of Durant, Oklahoma, and Kristen Jones and husband David of Durant, Oklahoma: grandchildren, Trey Wright of Durant, Oklahoma, Torrie Wright Palmer and husband Kale of Durant, Oklahoma, Rheagan Jones of Durant, Oklahoma, Ryleigh Jones of Durant, Oklahoma, Ryder Jones of Durant, Oklahoma, Kasen Kane of Van Alstyne, Texas, Summer Kane of Van Alstyne, Texas: great-granddaughter, Finnlie Palmer of Durant, Oklahoma: mother-in-law, Zelma Perkins of Calera, Oklahoma: mother, Eva Snider of Caddo, Oklahoma: sister, Doretta Dela Torre and husband Albert of San Antonio, Texas and Jackie Harms and husband John of Durant, Oklahoma: brother-in-law, Stan Perkins of Denison, Texas and sister-in-law, Retha Eastwood and husband Scott of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his father, Jack Snider: sister, Karen DeWeese: father-in-law, Alphus Perkins and grandmother, Maggie Elizabeth Snider.
