Larry Edwin Dotson, 78, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael John Dotson and a daughter, Betty Dotson. Larry served in the Army for over 22 years and he was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was a dedicated nurse for over 25 years at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Marianne Beck Dotson of the home; a son, Jimmy Dotson of Kodak, Tenn. ; a grandson, Michael Nelson Davis of Knoxville, Tenn.

; and two brothers, Thomas L. Dotson and Terry Miller, both of Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 am Friday, September 28, 2018 in Reilly Road Presbyterian Church with Pastor Herman Autry officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
