Larry French Wright June 18, 1948 – May 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Larry French Wright, 70, a resident of Troy, died May 8, 2019, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, as a result of heart failure. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Bro.

Scott Fields and Bro. Keith Wright will be officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Cooper, Gary Church, Andy Huff, Dakota Hinson, Marcus Wade V, Zack McEwen, Gabe Huff, and Billy Joe Roberson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. He was born on June 18, 1948, in Hendersonville, TN, to the late Johnny Allen Wright and Mary Nelle (Davis) Wright French.

He attended Obion County Central High School, graduating class of 1966, before joining the U.S. Air Force. He served from 1966-1971. He worked as a tire builder at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, retiring after 32 years.

On October 19, 1974, he married Peggy Reddin. She survives. He was a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Was a supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital and Paralyzed Veteran’s of America. He was a member of Union City Baptist Temple. Mr. Wright is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Shannon Gene (Kim) Wright of Troy, David Joseph (Michelle) Wright of Columbia, TN; three grandchildren, Savannah Wright of Troy, Austin Wright of Rives, Grayson Bowers of Columbia, T; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy (Dotty) Wright of Union City, Keith (Shirley) Wright of Ledbetter, KY, Ted (Marie) Reddin of Millidgeville, TN and Larry (Betty) Erwin of Milledgeville, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Roy Gene Wright, Billy Joe Wright, Donald R. Wright, Jerry N. Wright; a sister, Shirley Faye Tennery; and brother-in-law, Joe Earl Reddin.
