Larry G Aberle Obituary Photo

My soul mate, best friend, best husband, father and Papa, Larry Aberle passed away December 12, 2018 surrounded by love and prayers in his home in West Fargo, ND. Larry was 70 years old. He was the youngest of eight children, born to Simon Sr. and Mary Aberle in Edgeley, ND.

After graduation, Larry earned a degree in Architectural Drafting from NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. He then enlisted in the Marines in 1968. Larry was assigned to escort the Honored Vietnam fallen soldiers to their final resting places.

When Larry returned, he then completed his BS Degree in Industrial Education from VCSU in Valley City, ND. In 2002, Larry was deployed to Iraq with the 142nd and retired from the Army National Guard in 2004. Silent and strong, he never complained.

Private and prideful, he would never burden anyone with his problems. What you see is what you get, steady and true. A man of great integrity, love of God, family and country with all his heart.

He is the finest example of a man that we have seen. Larry’s greatest pride was his wife of 44 years, Donna, daughters; Jenie and Sumer and his precious grandchildren; Meghan, Emma, Richie and Finley who proudly called him “Papa”. Larry worked as a Building Inspector for the City of Fargo until his retirement in 2014.

Survived by his wife Donna, daughters Jenie (Meghan & Emma), Sumer (Richie & Finley); dear family friend Heather Madson; sisters Marie (Victor) Lagodinski and Bernie Larson; brother-in-law Stanley Wald; sisters-in-law, Sharon, Gloria, and Shirley Aberle; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Larry in death are his parents Simon Sr. and Mary; brothers Oscar, Adam and Simon Jr.; sisters Lil and Irene; brother-in-law Charlie Larson; nieces Donna Carik and Cheryl Wylie. I look back at our lives together with nothing but joy and happiness.

Our bond is unbreakable. Larry, you will be missed. Visitation: Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo.
