Larry E. Kircher, 81, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Monday, September 24, 2018 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg. Visitation will be at Keithsburg First Christian Church on Friday, September 28th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., with Military Rites to follow. There will be a time of food and fellowship after the military rites.

Burial will be at a later date in Kahoka, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the Alzheimer’s Association. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.

Larry Eugene Kircher was born March 23, 1937 in Burlington, Iowa a son of Eugene Hammond and Myrtle Grace Johnson Kircher. Larry served in the United States Army from 1960-1962, having been stationed in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In June 1963, he married Joan Barnhouse…they later divorced.

Larry worked at JI Case for 25 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a local gun club. Larry enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Jeff Kircher of Moline, Illinois and Amy Morrow of Aledo, Illinois; grandchildren: Beonca Kircher, Breana Kircher, Ethan Morrow and Megan Morrow; great grandchildren: Konnor Terrill and Jaxon Reynolds and brother: Kennard Kircher of Keithsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister and step-sister: Marie Stayline. Online condolences may be left at www.
