OBITUARY Larry Mitchell Busby January 16, 1948 – January 11, 2019 LARRY MITCHELL BUSBY, age 70, passed into his permanent home on January 11, 2018. LARRY will be celebrating his birthday in heaven on January 16. He served two terms in the U.S. ARMY totaling nine years including participating in the Vietnam Nam War.

He earned several medals and honors. He was also a graduate from the University of Montevallo. Larry is best remembered as a loving and devoted caretaker of his mother, Eloise (Anderson) Busby.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Samuel W. Busby Jr. Larry is survived by his sisters Thelma (Bill) Gann of Calera, AL, and Karen (Jim) Kasprzycki of Jacksonville, FL, and brother William Busby of Lockhart, TX. He also has five nieces and two nephews. Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 with a time of visitation to begin at 1:30pm with a funeral service at 2:30pm.

Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
