Larry Ray Craft, 67, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family, He was born December 9, 1950 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Robert Craft and Dolly Tackett. Larry was an auctioneer and an avid University of Michigan fan. He enjoyed his job, fishing and playing Texas hold’em.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and the grandbabies. Larry is survived by his wife, Renee Ilene Shepard Craft, whom he married Oct. 12, 1984 in Mansfield; three children, Larry Ray Craft, Jr., Christy Mae Craft (Michael) Lemasters, and Debra Lynn Craft (Robert) Thurman, all of Portsmouth; two sisters, Helen Marie McBee of New Boston and Doris Wilson of Mansfield; and six grandchildren, Aireyana and Averi Thurman, Hallie and Hayden Lemasters, Brayden and Samariah Craft; and many close friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by several siblings. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Shawn Spencer officiating.
