Larry Wayne Davis, Sr. was born to the late Carrie M. Looney Davis and Clayton C. Davis. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

He attended Moton High school and graduated from Gardendale High School. Larry graduated horticulture school with a degree in landscaping. He worked at MB Metals in Leeds, Alabama most of his life an later retired from Hubbell Power System.

Larry was well known and loved by his peers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Chris Davis, parents; Carrie M. Looney Davis and Clayton C. Davis, and two brothers; Alvin Davis and Lee Stearnes. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: His companion Vicky Crowe; 2 sons, Larry Dewayne Smith and Larry Wayne Davis Henderson; 3 daughters, Tonique Crowe, Tyshema Lane, and Tera Welch; 4 brothers Fredrick (Glenda) Davis, John (Anita) Stearnes, Bryant Stearnes, and Malcom (Cheryl) Stearnes; 2 sisters Venita Strickland and Belva Stearnes; 7 grand children and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
