Obituary for Larry Wayne Shortt Larry Wayne Shortt, age 74, of Richlands, VA passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at a Bristol, TN hospital. Larry was born in Harlan, KY and was the son of the late Homer Shortt and Inez Crain. He was a retired construction foreman an he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by soulmate, Shirley Trammell; his daughter, Tammy Shortt; sister, June Harris; and brother, Voyne Shortt. He is survived by: Daughters: Jessica Hill and husband, Gary of Richlands, VA Sandy Shortt of TX Tabitha Shortt Lora Lynn Shortt of TN Sons: Larry Wayne Shortt, Jr Scott Shortt Shane Chapman “Pup” Special Grandchildren: Brooklyn Cruey of Tuscaloosa, AL Austin Cruey of Richlands, VA Sisters: Joan DePriest and husband, Bob of Chesapeake, VA Glenda Moseley of Richmond, VA Also surviving are seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and family and friends. Funeral services Larry Wayne Shortt will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel with Donna Johnson officiating.

The Shortt family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.
