Obituary for Dolly Keen Ms. Dolly Evelyn Keen, age 70 of Raven, Virginia was holding the hand of her son, George as she drew her last breath on this earth on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born in Raven and was the daughter of the late Rufus and Mary Cathleen Whited Brown. She was a graduate of Richlands High School and a lifetime resident of the area.

Dolly was a fulltime homemaker, a devoted mother and loving grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was of the Christian faith and she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Keen, Sr.; daughter, Deborah Keen Helton; son, John Rufus Keen; sister, Maggie Brown; brother, Arnold Brown.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are: Her sons: George Keen of Raven, VA Danny Lee Keen of Raven, VA Christopher Michael Keen of Doran, VA Glenn Keith Keen and wife, Amber of Doran, VA Brothers: Lee Brown of Raven, VA William “Wym” Brown of Lebanon, VA Also surviving are seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service for Dolly Keen will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Danny Shortt Officiating.

Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Maynard, Glen Keen, Michael Keen, Chris Maynard and George Keen. The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
