Obituary for Gertie M. Crockett Blankenship Gertie M. Crockett Blankenship, age 83, of Middleburg Ohio, formerly of Jewell Ridge, VA passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Ohio. Gertie was born in Jewell Ridge, VA on June 4, 1935 and was the daughter of the late John Slater Crockett and Grace Leigh Hunt Crockett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Burley Blankenship; her sons, Lawrence, Earl and Harold Blankenship and one brother, Frank Crockett.

She is survived by: Her Daughters: Tonia Blevins and Natalie Healy Son: Lonnie Blankenship and his wife, Eileen; Ten grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren Brothers: Robert Crockett, James Crockett and Verle Crockett Also surviving are several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews, along with many friends. A committal service for Gertie M. Crockett Blankenship will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Greenhills Memory Gardens, in Claypool Hill, VA with Pastor Joel Horn officiating. Interment will follow.
