Obituary for Jack Darrell Honaker Jack Darrell Honaker, age 72, of Bandy, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Jack was born in Buchanan County, Virginia and was the son of the late Belford and Pinkie Mae Matney Honaker of Buchanan County. He was a retired coal miner of Island Creek Coal Company and Jewell Smokeless Coal Company.

Jack was a resident of the Bandy area for over twenty years. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bevelene Hale.

He is survived by: Two Daughters: Melissia Johnson and Jeff Harmon of Bristol, TN Marsha Honaker Jackson and husband, Terry of Memphis, TN Son: Jackie D. Honaker, II and wife, Anna of Bristol, VA Sisters: June Horne and husband, Ken of Elkton, MD Claudine Cassell of Bedford, VA Pam Lewis of NC Grandchildren: George Gloyd, Kelsey Gloyd, Janet Johnson, Ty Jackson, and Morigan Jackson A host of family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Jack Darrell Honaker will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with the Rev. Randall Shaffer officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be: Lee Rose, George Gloyd, Scott Childress, and Lendell Horne. The Honaker family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
