Obituary for Ernie Charles Wright Ernie Charles Wright, age 71, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at a local Richlands hospital. He was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was the son of the late John and Cora Barnett Wright. Ernie was a graduate of Richlands High School, Class of 1967.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Ernie worked for many years in the coal mines to support his family before retiring. He had attended Yost’s Chapel and was a lifetime resident of the area.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Damron, Flossie Wright, Dorothy Combs, Betty Cole, Lucy Wright, and Louise Hill; brothers, John Willie Wright, Claude Wright, Ray Wright and Frankie Wright. Those who remain to carry on his spirit are: His loving wife, Jane Short Wright of Cedar Bluff, VA Son, Teddy Charles Wright and wife, Aileen of Cedar Bluff, VA Sister, Mildred Cornwell of Cedar Bluff, VA Brother, Joe Wright of Piqua, OH Very special grandson, Lucas Shane Wright The funeral service for Ernie Charles Wright will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Chuck Patterson and Rev.

Kenny Fields officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Steve Kiser, Billy Keene, Scotty Hardy, Mack Simmons, Wayne Hill, Jason Kiser and George Shelton.

The family will begin receiving friends, at 6:00 pm on Thursday night at the funeral home.
