Obituary for Victoria Ann “Vickie” Smith Victoria “Vickie” Ann Smith, age 68, of Richlands, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at a local Richlands hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Hershel and Margaret Nicewander Boyd of Tazewell County, Virginia. Vickie was a Richlands High School graduate Class of 1969, she had worked for many years at the V&V restaurant, Clinch Valley Medical Center and as a greeter at Walmart.

She attended the Clearview United Methodist Church in Doran, Virginia. Vickie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She had lived her entire life in the Richlands area and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Boyd. Those remain to carry on her spirit are: Her loving husband, James Ed Smith of Richlands, VA Her daughters: Leeann Johnson of Caledonia, MS Crystal Smith of Doran, VA Step-son, Duane Smith and wife, Christian of Oak Harbor, Washington Sister, Sherry Dailey of Marion, SC Grandchildren, Miracle Johnson, Keylee Smith and one step grandchild, Aubrey Smith The funeral service for Vickie Smith will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Hurst-Scot Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with he Rev. Clayton Farmer officiating.

Entombment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be John Otis Altizer, Jay Holmes, Tim Wallace, Kenny Boyd, Gary Lawson, David Absher, Jared Smith and Justin Smith. Friends may call after 6:00 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
