Obituary for Jefferson “Jeff” O’Neil Herald Jefferson “Jeff” O’Neil Herald, age 91 passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Dogwood Crossing Senior Living & Memory Care in Tazewell, VA. He was born March 20, 1927 in Tazewell County, VA and was a son of the late Edward and Bertha Brown Herald. Mr. Herald was a retired truck driver, having worked many years for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He had attended the Thompson Valley Church of God in Thompson Valley, VA for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vivian Irene Herald; one sister, Myrtle Herald Puckett; four brothers, Eugene, Robert, Norman and Donald Herald.

Those who survive to cherish his memory include, two sons, Edward Herald and wife, Glenda and Craig Herald and wife, Connie both of Tazewell, VA; one brother, William “Bill” Herald and wife, Margaret of Tazewell, VA; three grandchildren, Rick Herald and wife, Connie of Gray, TN, Marcus Herald and wife, Amy of League City, TX and Leslie Herald of Bluefield, WV; one great-grand son, Ryan Herald; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends also survive. Graveside Services for Mr. Herald will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, VA with Pastor Nathan Thomas officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the Graveside Service.
