Obituary for Bobby Joe Cole Bobby Joe Cole, age 74, of the Bearwallow section of Jewell Ridge, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his home due to a long illness. Mr. Cole was born in Richlands, VA and was the son of the late Stuart J. and Loma Nelson Cole. He served his country for seven years in the U.S. Navy.

He was a coal owner/operator until his retirement and he was a lifelong resident of Bearwallow, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. He is survived by: His Wife of 47 years: Nancy Jackson Cole and their beloved family member and pet, Bella Festus Cole, both of the home.

Two Daughters: Jo Jackson and husband, Brandon of Abingdon, VA Christy Arnold and husband, Mike of Jewell Ridge, VA Sister, Ilene Holt of Richlands, VA Two Grandchildren: ReOnna Arnold and C. Jackson of Richlands, VA Kellie Arnold and Bill Reckner of PA One great grandchild, Chloe Arnold of Jewell Ridge, VA Graveside services for Bobby Joe Cole will be conducted on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Cole Family Cemetery on Bearwallow, near Jewell Ridge, VA. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be: Jason Coleman, L.C. Phipps, Buskell Keen, Jessie Lester, Wimpy McGlothlin, and Jeff White.

Members of the Casey- Shortt VFW Post #9640 will be conducting military graveside rites. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to be at the funeral home by 11:15 am on Wednesday morning. The Cole family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Tuesday evening, October 9, 2018 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA.
