Obituary for Barbara Ann Dye Barbara Ann Dye, age 69, of Raven, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home while surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on August 7, 1949 in Richlands, Virginia to the late Robert Warren and Laura Ann Hurt Shelton. She was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus in Red Ash, Virginia and served her family as a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Connie Hill and Alma Ga Hess; and her brother, Michael Shelton. Those left to cherish her memory include Her husband of 53 years, James Dye, Sr. Daughters Barbara Sue Ball and husband, Randy of Red Ash, Virginia Juanita Jane Miller of Tazewell, Virginia Son James Dye, Jr. and wife, Pamela of Raven, Virginia Sisters Sandra Shelton of Oakwood, Virginia Ann Dye and husband, Morgan of Red Ash, Virginia Debbie Johnson and husband, Wayne of Abingdon, Virginia Brother Roger Shelton and wife, Shirley of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Grandchildren Holly Ball, Wesley Ball, Lee Miller, Tyler Miller, Aaron Dye, and Shaneesa Dye Great Grandchildren Jaxton, Isabella, Colten, Isabella, Lucas, Arabella, Haleigh, Ryleigh, and Taelyn. Funeral services for Barbara Ann Dye will be conducted on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Reverend Larry Chafins, Reverend Raymond Perry, and Reverend Charlie Dye officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pruitt Family Cemetery on Red Root Ridge near Raven, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Randy Ball and Russell Miller. Dr. Bidros and Sonny Plaster will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 PM to 9 PM at the funeral home.
