Obituary for Linda Faye Hackworth Linda Faye Hackworth, age 74, of Belfast, Virginia, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her home. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Roscoe Wheeler and Glenna Marie Warner Lester. She had made her home in the Belfast area for the past 17 years and was a retired cook from Buchanan County School System, working mostly at Whitewood Elementary and Whitewood High School.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to shop and she loved the beach. Her smile was infectious and so was her love for others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hackworth; son in law, Stevie Rife; and two brothers, Freddie and Roger Lester. Survivors are: Daughters: Tammy Hackworth Rife of Charleston, SC Lisa Hackworth Harris and husband, Tim “Lil-Nut” of Rosedale, VA Bobbi Hackworth Harris and husband, David “Buck” of Belfast, VA Sister: Joann Martinez of Chicago, IL Brother: Randy Lester and wife, Debbie of Lebanon, VA Grandchildren: Courtney Irizarry and husband, David; Whitley Fields and husband, Eric; Gabriel Lane Harris; and Haleigh Renee Harris Great Grandchildren: Ariana Irizarry and Paisley Fields Two Special Dogs: Diesel Lee and Lily Rose Funeral services for Linda Faye Hackworth will be conducted Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Earl Cole, Travis Hackworth, and Gabriel Harris officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Keith Hackworth, Travis Hackworth, Asa Taylor, Paul Hackworth, Phillip Hale, and Caleb Cook. Honorary Pallbearers will be: David Irizarry, Eric Fields, David Harris, Tim Harris, Wayne Hendricks, Dr. Larry Mitchell, and Dr. Bruce Miller.
