Obituary for Destiny Faith Slate Destiny Faith Slate, age 17, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of Paula Slate and companion, Phillip Shaw of Richlands, Virginia and Jeff Slate and companion, Crystal Artrip of Rosedale, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of Richlands and was a senior at Richlands High School.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Randolph and Willetta Gregory; her paternal grandparents, Raymond Lytie Slate; uncles, Phillip Gregory and wife, Michelle and Gary Slate; and cousin, Matthew Evans. Survivors, in addition to her parents, are: Aunts and Uncles: Brenda Evans and adopted daughter, Courtney Clifton; Billy and Ranetta Davis; Raymond and Lisa Slate; Dennis and Shelia Lofton; and Dale Slate Cousins: Joe and Raeanne Huff and daughter, Raelynn; Victor and Monica Slate and children, Hunter Carlton, Dillon Lofton, and Tre Lofton; Zachery Slate and daughter, Rylah; Mike and Stephanie Delany and son, Kollin; Nicholas Delany; Mollie and Bob Deakyne and children, Cheyanne, William, Rebecca Jane, and Sabbath; Mikayra Dye; Aurora Gregory. Funeral services for Destiny Faith Slate will be conducted Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev.

Larry Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Cousins and friends will serve as pallbearers.
