Obituary for Gene Thomas Nolley Gene Thomas Nolley, age 86, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 in a Pikeville, KY hospital following a brief illness. He was born in McDowell County, WV and was the son of the late Rangley Roosevelt and Janie Hunley Nolley. He had made his home in the Richlands area for the past 59 years and was a retired accountant for R.L. Persinger and Bob Shepherd, CPA having worked in the accounting business for 50 years.

He was a graduate of Gary High School Class of 1949 and Concord College. He was a member of the Richlands First United Methodist Church, Richlands Masonic Lodge #318 AF&AM, and the Tazewell County Country Club. He was a former member of the Richlands Lions Club, Richlands Volunteer Fire Department, and coached Little League baseball for years.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Wilson; and two brothers, William Dale and John Douglas Nolley. Survivors are: His Wife of 66 years: Lois Kathleen Casimo Nolley Daughter: Pam McClung and husband, Tommy of Richlands, Virginia Sons: Michael R. Nolley of Richlands, Virginia Mark S. Nolley and wife, Drema of Richlands, Virginia Jeffrey T. Nolley of Charlotte, North Carolina Sisters: Mary Grace Tickle of Stafford, Virginia Kathryn N. Boothe and husband, Doug of Abbs Valley, Virginia Brothers: George Robert Nolley and wife, Carol of Bluefield, Virginia Harry Nolley and wife, Patty of Abbs Valley, Virginia Frank Alan Nolley and wife, Katie of Abbs Valley, Virginia Grandchildren: Kelli Smith and husband, Aaron; Jarod Nolley; Megan Lewis and husband, Steve; Ryan Nolley; and Jacob Nolley Great Grandchildren: Jaxson Smith; Luke Smith; Kelsie Lewis; Jaden Lewis; Cora Lewis, Teigen Lewis, and Asher Wilson Funeral services for Gene Nolley will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev.

Rod Tkach and Quay White officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Larry Worrell, John Willis, Charlie Warner, Sam Barnette, Bart Warner, and Scotty Lawson.
