Obituary for Sandra Kay Tibbs Leffel Sandra Kay Tibbs Leffel, age 59 of Tazewell, VA passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Nashville, TN. She was born December 4, 1958 in Tazewell County, VA and was a daughter of Shirley Ruth Snodgrass Tibbs of Tazewell, VA and the late Dewey Tibbs. Sandra was a Graduate of Tazewell High School Class of 1977 and continued her education by receiving a degree in Nursing from Southwest Virginia Community College.

She was employed in the health care profession for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for babies in the hospital. Sandra was a member of the Tazewell Family Worship Center.

She loved her family immensely and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Louise Snodgrass; one brother, Mark Tibbs. In addition to her mother, those who survive to cherish her memory include her daughter, Angela Leighton and husband, Ben of Tazewell, VA; two sons, Adam Leffel and Benjamin Samaniego both of Tazewell, VA;four granddaughters, Vamille Leffel of Kingsport, TN, Grayson Leighton, Ryann Leighton and Emma Leighton, all of Tazewell, VA; a host of other family members and friends also survive.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Sandra Kay Tibbs Leffel will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Lawrence Hayes officiating. There will be no public visitation prior to the memorial service.
