Obituary for Hank Bryant Toney Hank Bryant Toney, age 64 of Tazewell, VA passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. He was born May 27, 1954 at Berwind, WV and was a son of the late Sebert Toney, Sr. and Gladys Lucille Nelson Toney. Hank had attended Big Creek High School and enjoyed collecting coins, but his biggest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Burks; three brothers, Sebert Toney, Jr., Charles Toney, and Dranan Toney. Those who survive to cherish his memory include his daughter, Misty Michelle Toney Smith and husband, Alvin Smith, Jr. of Tazewell, VA; one sister, Sarita Beavers and husband, Gene of Riceville, TN; four brothers, Bartley Toney and wife, Flo of Hartwell, WV; Thomas Toney and wife, Rosita of West Virginia, Hansford Toney and wife, Sonia and Lester Toney and wife, Ann both of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Dinah Toney of Pulaski County, VA and Sadie Toney of Wichita Falls, TX; two grandchildren, Elijah and Aiden Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.

Honoring Mr. Hank Bryant Toney’s wishes, his body will be cremated and services will be private. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA is serving the family of Mr. Toney and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www. hurstscottfuneralhomes.com.
