Obituary for James Lee Wyatt James Lee Wyatt, age 85 of Bluefield, WV died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at a Burlington, NC adult rehab and health care facility. He was born November 7, 1932 at Greenbrier County, WV and was a son of the late Jesse Richardson Wyatt and Fanny LouRetta Harman Wyatt. He was a self-employed carpenter for the majority of his life and was an avid Washington Red Skins and Tennessee Volunteers football fan.
Mr. Wyatt was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Marie St. Clair Wyatt; two sisters, Thelma Christian and Nora Tiller; two brothers, Earl Wyatt and Jesse Wyatt. Those who remain to cherish his memory include two daughters, Jennifer Hurst and husband, Donnie of Burlington, NC and Katie Wyatt of Tazewell, VA; one son, Matthew Wyatt and wife, Linda of Clover, SC; three grandchildren, Suzanne Clayton and Kristi Hurst both of Burlington, NC and Deanna Combs and husband, Mark of Tazewell, VA; four great grandchildren, Evan Clayton of Burlington, NC, Bella and Xander Harvey of Clover, SC and Claire Combs of Tazewell, VA.
Funeral services for Mr. James Lee Wyatt will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Chris White officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by members of the Barns-Beavers VFW Post #7136 in Tazewell, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 12:00 p.m. noon on Sunday, September 16, 2018.
