Obituary for Danny William Elder Danny William Raine Elder, age 55, of Raven, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his sisters house in Raven, Virginia. He was born in North Carolina and was the son of Ivory and Henry Horn and Bob Elder. He had made his home in the Raven area most of his life and loved fishing and being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Perry Horn; and his grandparents, Margie and Roby Dye and Fletcher and Jessee Elder. Survivors are: Sons: Rodney Elder, Roby Elder, Robbie Elder, and Ryan Elder Sisters: Pat Horton and husband, Rocky of Raven, Virginia Nellie Maynard and husband, Jim of Raven, Virginia Margaret Dye and husband, Donny of Richlands, Virginia Tammy Street and husband, Mitchell of Raven, Virginia Brothers: Bobby Elder of Richlands, Virginia Rogerdale Campbell of North Carolina Special Aunt: Vel Dye of Raven, Virginia Sister in Law: Bobbi Jo Horn of North Carolina Four Grandchildren: Christian Elder, Conner Elder, Chloe Elder, and Shyanna Elder Funeral services for Danny Elder will be conducted Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Rick Whitt officiating.

Interment will follow at Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Chris Maynard, Brandon Boyd, Donny Dye, Ricky Dye, Dylan Maynard, Arthur Arnold, and Gage Elder. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Friday prior to the funeral.
