Obituary for Laura M. Stephens Funeral service for Laura Stephens, 88 of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2019, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Shirley Scott officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Laura was born October 3, 1930, in Anderson, Missouri to Chester and Myrtle (Pratt) Arnett, and passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Enid. Laura grew up in Anderson, Missouri, and married Paul L. Stephens on December 9, 1947, in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was involved in Assembly of God ministries, teaching Sunday school, mission trips to Mexico, and the women’s ministries.

Laura and Paul pastored Hispanic Assembly of God Church in Pratt, Kansas. They moved to Enid in 2015. Laura is survived by her daughters Paula Marks and husband Robert of Ozark, Missouri, Drusilla Vinson and husband Wayne of Sweeny, Texas, and Carla James and husband John of Enid; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Paul in 2017. Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Assembly of God Children’s Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Laura M. Stephens please visit our Sympathy Store.
