Obituary for Laurine C. Pomplun Laurine C. Pomplun, age 81 of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 9th, 2018 at ThedaCare Hospital in Berlin with her daughters by her side. Laurine was born on June 13th, 1937 to Lyle and Marion (Halkney) Anklam. Laurine grew up in Auroraville, WI and graduated from Berlin High School in 1955.

She went to work for Ripon Foods right after graduating. Laurine married Marvin Pomplun on August 31st, 1957. They purchased her parent’s family farm in Auroraville and she lived a total of 71 years on that farm before retiring and moving to Berlin in 2008.

Laurine volunteered with the National Kidney Foundation for years and assisted them with some fundraising events. Laurine is survived by her daughters Leann (Michael) Kohls, Berlin, Lana (Dale) Warwick, Neshkoro, Grandsons Andrew (Laramie) Chandler, New London, Steven Warwick (Faith Klawitter and Bentley), Neshkoro, Step Grandson Brad (Katie) Warwick and their girls Kenzie and Bridgett, Berlin. Brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, the little dogs, Tinkerbell and Zoey.

Her special friends, Arlene Meyer Bucknell, Donna Booth, Alice Sina, Carol Lehr and Don and Patsy Johnson. She looked forward to the daily phone calls. In addition to her parents, Laurine was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Pomplun, in 2007, her daughter, Lisa Ann, in 1962, and brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

Funeral services will be held at Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home in Berlin on Friday July 13th, 2018 at 11am. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Waukau Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Berlin Town Hall (Highway 91 and Willard Road).
