LaVerne Helen Habeck, 95, died Sunday January 20, 2019 at Rennes Health and Rehab. She was born July 20, 1923 in Forest Junction, daughter of the late Lawrence and Elenora (Luckow) Ott. LaVerne married Ruben Habeck on October 30, 1948.

Ruben preceded LaVerne in death on December 20, 2012. LaVerne is survived by her three daughters: Cheryl (Andy) Cosner, Gayle (Bob) Welhouse and Vicky Habeck; four grandchildren: Matthew (Diana) Cosner, Nathan (Rachel) Cosner, Nicholas Welhouse and Marissa Welhouse; great- grandson, Aaron Cosner; great-granddaughter, Hazel Cosner; brother, Wendell (Patsy) Ott; two sisters: Genevieve Reichardt and Karen (Bill) LeClair; brother in-law, Willis (Donna) Habeck; sister in-law, Phyllis Habeck; and several nieces and nephews. LaVerne was further preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn (Elmo) Cassidy; three sisters in-law: Alice (Weldon) Maves, Violet (Bob) Ott, and Fern (Arden) Bernhardt; and two brothers in-law: Casey Reichardt and Dale Habeck.

Funeral service for LaVerne will be 11:30 AM on Friday January 25, 2019 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Ben Morris officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday morning beginning at 10:00 until 11:15 AM, with the funeral service to begin at 11:30 AM.

Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park. LaVerne’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Rennes Health and Rehab, for all of their care and compassion.
