Lawrence Dulay age 77 and a life long resident of Porterville and the Tule River Indian Reservation passed away on January 14, 2019 in Porterville, CA. Lawrence was born on October 7, 1941 to Lawrence and Virginia Dulay in Fairfield, CA. He received his education through the Porterville School District.

Lawrence did plenty of Citrus work throughout Terra Bella, Ducor and Porterville and later on working as a Security Office/Sargeant for the Tule River Indian Reservation. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as being a coach for Men’s Fast Pitch Softball. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially his loving wife of 60 years Helen Dulay.

Lawrence loved the task of raising his children and grandchildren being the “Rock” of the family. His children would not hesitate to go to him when they needed anything at anytime. Lawrence was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who new him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo and Virginia Dulay. 1 Daughter: Dawn Wheeler. 1 Grandson: Victor Nunez.

2 Great Grandchildren: Roman and Anjanai Franco. Surviving family includes his loving wife: Helen Dulay of Tule River. 4 Daughters: Gina Dulay of Porterville, Sheela Lingle of Tule River, Tina Dulay – Clacher of Tulare and Tanya Dulay of Tule River.

2 Brothers: Alfredo (Connie) Dulay of Santa Mariaand Richard (Maria) Dulay of San Bernardino. 2 Sisters: Rosie De Guzman (Ross) of Santa Maria and Nora Auson also of Santa Maria. 15 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Granchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 with a 6:00 pm Rosary at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Mission Tule River Indian Reservation. Escorts will be leaving the Funeral home at 8:30 am Saturday 26, 2019.
