Obituary for Mr. Lee Allen Smith Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Mr. Lee Allen Smith, 81, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, MS. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home (6815 Parkview Blvd. Olive Branch, MS 38654).
A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Smith was born on July 25, 1936, in Ripley, MS, but resided most of his life in Olive Branch.
After thirty years of employment at International Harvester, one of his great interests was raising his Charolais Cattle. Mr. Smith enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. Mr. Smith, the family patriarch, was much loved by his family, who relied on his sage advice on every matter.
He was a faithful Maples Memorial United Methodist Church member. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of sixty years, Elaine Smith of Olive Branch; two daughters, Marsha (Mike) Hefner of Germantown, TN, and Leah (Dennis) Allen of Bartlett, TN; three grandsons, Lee (Jennifer) Allen of Madison, AL, Craig (Amber) Allen of Arlington, TN, and Blake (Ashlyn) Allen of Christiana, TN; three granddaughters, Lauren (Lee) Germany of Nesbit, MS, Tara (Logan) Karr of Collierville, TN, and Tracey (Fiancé Blake Holden) Hefner of Birmingham, AL; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Allen Smith and Elsie Smith.
