Lee Ann’s Obituary Lee Ann (Baka) Bennett, 64, Lapel, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness. She was born on July 22, 1954, in Noblesville to Leo and Betty (Harry) Baka. Lee Ann was graduated from Lapel High School in 1972.

She was employed as a diet clerk at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville for the past 33 years. Lee Ann coached for the Lapel Girl’s summer league and enjoyed hunting, reading, sewing, and baking but her favorite hobby was being grandma. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ben; two children, Samantha Bennett and D. J. (Staci) Bennett; four grandchildren, Qadira, Alex, Maya, and Lane; one great-granddaughter, Nayomi; two sisters, Jill (Dennis) Renner and twin-sister, Lue Ann (Danny) Shuck; a special aunt, Karen Harry; and several nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Amanda Lue; and a brother, Bobby Baka. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2019, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel with Rev. Derek Hansen officiating.

Entombment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, March 17 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
